Serbia 0-1 Ghana: The First of Gyan

Ghana Supporting teams of relief after Asamoah Gyan scored a victory over Serbia, Sunday (13/06/2010), by a penalty. The goal was once again made Gyan as Ghana's first goal scorer in World Cup finals.

Four years ago, Gyan 20-year-old became the first player to provide goals for his country in the final round. It happened on the second match of Ghana in Group E against the Republic of allowance Ceska.

Gyan scored in the RheinEnergie Stadium will always be remembered for Ghana, the first time qualifying for the World Cup. The goal was not only a first for Ghana, but also very fast. Gyan strikes within 68 seconds after kick-off. Really fast indeed.




In the duel versus Serbia last night, Gyan had to wait up to 84 minutes to record its prime goal of "The Black Stars" at the World Cup in 2010. That came after Aleksandar Lukovic touching the ball with his hands in the penalty box.

Gyan deserved to be man of the match in the game. Throughout the game, Rennes striker several times to give a threat to the goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković. Players 24 years had been terrorizing the Serbs through the fourth minute free kick. In minute 21, his header hit the right pole.
