This victory established the position of Cesc Fabregas et al in the third Premier League standings. Arsenal collected 52 points. Despite losing, Liverpool are still able to occupy the fourth place.
First Arsenal goal threat to Liverpool in the seventh minute. Reliable defender William Gallas could gore bait ball Fabregas free kick, but the header is still rising from Jose Reina's goal.
