Liverpool got a number of opportunities created by Martin Skrtel and Ryan Babel. However, without escort Torres and Gerrard, they seem to fight harder through Sunderland attack.

Unfortunately, until the whistle is blown the second round the referee, no additional goals scored from both sides. Sunderland won 1-0 cage fight over Liverpool.
